The first annual Kenny Whitworth Invitational Machining Competition was held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Breckinridge County Area Technology Center.
It was an exciting day for the students, teachers, judges and organizers! Many companies offered their support and all the students and school programs went home with a nice prize package. Nine students participated, three each from Breckinridge, Meade and Grayson County Machine tool programs.
Whitworth Tool, Inc. and Atlas Machine & Supply provided top prizes and door prizes. Employees of Whitworth Tool (Former students of Kenny’s) made the traveling trophy. Each student received a bag that included various donated items, tumblers, shirts, hats, and a machinist scale donated by Cutting Tools, Inc.
