Our History
1999
First building in Hardinsburg

2002
114 Industrial Park Lane Purchased
After just 3 years, more space was needed. Kenny purchased a larger 39,400 sq. ft. building in Hardinsburg.
1998
Whitworth Tool Inc. is founded.
Our founder, Kenny Whitworth started Whitworth Tool in his small brick garage in West View, Kentucky. With one small milling machine, he began producing die components for the tool and die industry.
2006
Continued Expansion
The tool and die repair operation had grown to the point that a new 4,000 sq. ft. addition was built. Larger machines were added, along with a spotting press for die try-out.
2012
Warehouse Added
In November, Whitworth added a 4,600 sq. ft. warehouse for much needed space to store fixtures, castings, forgings and material as well as a work space for our maintenance department.
378 Building Added
In November, Whitworth Tool added an additional facility known as the 378 Building also located in the Industrial Park. This 7,500 sq. ft. building allowed Whitworth Tool to expand its machining space and add much needed capacity for additional equipment.
ISO 9001 Certification
In June, to further diversify and meet the needs of our customer base, Whitworth Tool became ISO 9001 Certified.
2014
AS9100 Certification
In July, Whitworth Tool became AS9100 Certified. This certification and dedication by management to a robust quality system further diversifies Whitworth Tool’s customer base in many areas including Aerospace and Defense contracting.
2016
Type 7 FFL Acquired
In August, Whitworth Tool, Inc. obtained a Type 7 FFL with a Class 2 SOT permitting our company to manufacture NFA Firearms and Components.

CNC Mill Added
